My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

Hard to imagine it's been just over 9 years since my younger Brother Duncan died by suicide after living with Paranoid Schizophrenia for almost 20 years.

I cannot imagine how Duncan would have survived the last few years- including COVID, overall unrest throughout the world and ever increasing devastation from global warming. It was torture at times to watch him navigate the world and his ‘reality’ when things were ‘normal’ and the world of lockdown, physical distancing, devastation of environments- both by human and natural elements and doomscrolling would truly have been insurmountable.

This then gets me thinking of other men (and women) I know and care about who are living with mental health challenges today.

These days, of all days, they need every ounce of caring and compassion we can muster in a way that can overcome the feelings of isolation, desolation and desperation brought about by this reality we all find ourselves in.

While it is by no means a cure please make every effort to keep open conversation with friends and families.
