My motivation

I want to change the face of men's health and bring light to an important issue that many men overlook. Mental health is vital to a happy and healthy life. The often repeated lie that "I'm fine" or "everything is OK" doesn't have to be used as a shield to protect ourselves, and we should encourage one another to share our feelings when we are suffering through periods of depression. Just talking can help, and talking often may save a life.

Monster leg day at the gym. This is the face of crushing it this morning.

Fun fact of the day: Resistance training can reduce blood pressure and improve cardiovascular health as much as medicine, and performing one specific exercise for two minutes exercise could offer some incredible health benefits. I obviously advocate for doing much more than two minutes per day..but hey, we all have to start somewhere, and the next thing you know you’re pulling 385+ pounds off the ground with your bare hands.

Take a moment to look at a goal you want to achieve or a change that has been a struggle. And ask yourself, what would this look like if this were easy? You might not follow the “easy” plan to a “T,” but it will help you identify the barriers that stand in your way. And that will give you a better chance of removing them and having more success.

I’m a big believer in building unbreakable habits, those things which become part of a routine and you don’t think twice about doing. For me, that’s my morning routine: wake up, make breakfast, get lunch ready, have my preworkout, go to the gym. That’s simple, and it works.
