My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

I'm raising funds and awareness this November for all the dads, brothers, sons and mates in our lives.

I know things can be tough. I know it can suck.

I lost my father last year to cancer, after he’d battled with life, after a brain tumour for 13 years, being left disabled as a result. His ill health started soon after I’d moved in with him at 16, getting away from my mother who physically and mentally abused me my entire childhood.

A childhood of custody battles, police and social services.

I’ve had my dark days & still do, those ones you don’t open the curtains, lock yourself away from society or run scared down the road, from no one, but it feels real.

All too real

I’ve had the fortune of receiving some amazing professional help in my early 20s which has made life much more stable and allowed me to pursue a career, volunteer for charities, give back to others and see the world with greater colour and vividness.

I still struggle. I always will. But I know there are people out there willing and able to help.

I want you to know there are too.

I’m riding a 440+mile route that has deep meaning to me. It defines part of my life and showed me what true love and commitment means. My father drove it twice a weekend, for 10 years, in order to be part of my and my sisters life.

That's around 1/4 million miles of driving, whilst holding a full time job, purely to be with me.

Thats Love. That's commitment.

This November will be physically dark, likely wet & cold. It will test me, my resilience and my mental strength to push on when logic says have a hot shower, bed and chill out. For me it’s dedicated to my father, for the 1/4 million miles he drove to stay in my life, for others I hope it’s something that may inspire them to speak to a friend, take 5 minutes to walk for some fresh air, making sure they have time to be them.

You can join in, from riding a little bit with me, donating if possible, sharing my story with others, growing a mo or doing what may seem insignificant, asking how your mate or family member is today

If you’ve got this far, thank you. Your time means a lot to me

Remember you have until Thursday 9th December at 10pm to get those final donations in and bump your way up that Sports Challenge leaderboard. Thank you for being a part of an amazing Movember campaign.... please watch!

It's mid-month and the Mos are coming through strong. Farnham RUFC lead the way in the Sports Challenge fundraising leaderboard as I write, but where do you feature?

Don't forget to thank your donors and give potential donors an extra incentive to donate; an example of a Movember funded project, a special thanks from you, or simply because of the terrible itch your moustache is giving you. Thanks sporting Mos, we are over £200,000 raised and going strong!
