My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Thirteen years ago, I grew my first Movember ‘stache to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer, which affected my Dad (and still does to this day). Over the years, my motivation shifted to a broader view of men's health, especially the mental health crisis that takes too many men too soon. There's too much stigma related to mental health. Men need to understand that there is strength in seeking help. I'm rocking a full ‘Stache and moving again this Movember to raise funds in support of this mission. Thank you for your continued support of this important cause. I turned 55 in October. If I can raise $6K this year, I’ll reach the $55K milestone. Let’s do it!

I’m MOving rather than mo’ing this year, but that doesn’t mean I can’t share some classic shots from a decade of growing a ‘stache for men’s health programs.

A third of the way through Movember and a third of the way to my goal. Thanks to those who have donated so far and thank you to those who will support the cause with a (tax-deductible) donation. Remember, guys: safety first. Talk to your doctor about early detection of prostate and other cancers. And, if you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, talk to someone.

Movember Day 7. This is what I’ve got to show for it thus far in the ‘stache department. In the cash department, I’m 20% to my goal. Thanks for your support.

334 Week(s) Ago

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! I’m just back from 6 days with 0 connectivity in Havana, Cuba (I strongly rec. you get there as soon as possible). My moustache was definitely more comfortable there than at home. And that’s kinda the point: I grow this only to raise awareness and funds in support of men’s health. I’m about 60% to this year’s goal with only a few days left in Movember. Thanks for your help! (PC: Hope Pordy; Havana Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes)

All, with your support, I am almost 60% to this year’s goal—and just a few hundred bucks away from a seven-year total of $25,000. You have all been amazing partners in putting up with my terrible moustache photos and making generous contributions over the years.

Too many good men are taken each year by cancer and untreated depression and mental illness. The Movember Foundation aims to change that through awareness, research and support. Thank you.

A few days in and 12% to goal. Thank you!
